The obsession of speed is nothing new to man kind, the medium of reaching it though is always evolving. 1920's racing was dangerous as fuck... lets just admit that. A straight 8 cylinder in a 1650 LB package with motorcycle tires at best and "sort of" brakes.
Racing has to start somewhere though right? I have to admit this shit would've been a spectacle to see in person. You can thank these guys for the safety features in your car created from watching them find out the hard way.
